“I want to use my law degree to strengthen access to justice and build a fair, transparent, and inclusive legal system in Sierra Leone. My future in law will contribute to efforts that empower citizens—particularly the underrepresented and marginalized—to claim their rights and trust in the rule of law. My goal is to establish a sustainable legal aid and justice reform institute that collaborates with government bodies, the judiciary, civil society organizations, and international partners to promote legal literacy, accountability, and good governance.
Sierra Leone faces significant challenges in its justice sector, including limited access to legal services, corruption, and lack of awareness about citizens’ rights. I aim to create a community-based justice centre where individuals, especially women, children, and rural populations, can access legal support and fair representation. By contributing to policy reform, advocacy, and public education, I hope to make justice accessible, affordable, and effective for all.”
